Deidara and The Hobgoblinby ~SractheNinja

Greetings everyone!

Today I bring you a great, probably unexpected crossover. This one between Spiderman and Naruto. With The Hobgoblin and Deidara.

A while ago, it suddenly struck me like a pumpkin bomb to the head that perhaps my fondness of Deidara had deep roots with a much earlier villain fav of mine: The Hobgoblin. After thinking about this, I felt so stupid for not realizing it before! They're so similar I'm willing to BET that Kishimoto read Spiderman comics and got inspiration for Deidara from the Hobgoblin or Green Goblin. Think about it! They both fly through the air, chucking explosives about. It's ridiculously similar! I imagine they'd get along great if they met. They'd no doubt go on an explosive spree. I think they'd have great commeraderie, which I wanted to show here. I just find it so amusing that it's so obvious, but I've never heard anyone make this connection before. So I shall.

As for this pic, it took quite an effort to get all the stuff in here colored and put together and the resulting file was quite massive. Unfortunately, I realized all too late that I'd made some mistakes. I drew the Hobgoblin and his glider seperately so his feet aren't in the glider's stirrups. Also, I had to go about redoing his bag more times than I want to remember. Also I feel the Hobgoblin's head is too big. Oh well. May post detail shots of Deidara and Hobgoblin since it's probably kind of hard to see the detail. (though if you have time to let it load, the download button will probably show you pretty well)

Overall I really love this piece, as it showcases two of my favorite villains of all time, wreaking havoc on unsuspecting heroes. Keep on truckin' boys. You guys rule.
