Ryouga: Bakusai Tenketsu

Hey agaaaain,

I know I know. Please do feel free to yell at me and bash me over the head about Bleachatar. I am working on it, rest assured! And I'm liking how it's coming out. I've got 9 out of an estimated 12-15 panels completed. But I can't help where my inspiration carries me and it's been carrying me back to my Ranma 1/2 days. Been watching episodes and I watched the ones with the Bakusai Tenketsu training and fight. (Ranma 1/2 has the most awesome attack names doesn't it?) Aaah the Breaking Point. An awesome technique to be sure, even if it only works on rocks. The funny thing I noticed is that sometimes it works on things other than rocks, sometimes in the anime. I think he blew up some street stand that was probably made out of wood and plastic... I was amused.

But anyway, I've always wanted to draw and color pictures that try to capture the awesome-ness of Ryouga's attacks. I think I did pretty well here. I really want to do one for Shishi Hokodan but that's way harder to do than it sounds.

But as for this one, I was going for a fore-shortened view. I think it sort of worked. The arms probably aren't right... I should have used a reference pic for the post maybe. But I do really love how it looks. Ryouga's mouth is huge yes. Everyone in Ranma has amazingly huge mouths when they yell or get angry. It's awesome. I'll tell you what though. Ryouga's leg ties were irritating to color. The paths got complicated in that area *shakes head* Ah well. At least I got it done. As for the background, it's supposed to be a bunch of huge rocks. I think it looks pretty good. What do you guys think? Had to add a tree in for good measure... I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have but...nyeh *shrugg* And the speedlines are okay... MangaStudio would have been useful for that.

Anyhow, I hope you all like this. I'll get back to work on Bleachatar

NOTE: Bakusai Tenketsu=Breaking Point It's a technique where one uses one finger to hit a point on a rock that will cause it to shatter. For those who haven't read Ranma 1/2 ^__^
