Tokka: Betrothal

Well hello there!

Surprise surprise! I, SractheNinja, am an unofficial participant in Tokka week! What does this mean? It means that I will observe the byootiful Tokka that is spread over dA and will post pictures if I can, but I'm not going to make a commitment and SWEAR ON MAH LIEF that I will post a picture every day. Because I can't count on myself to be so responsible and unlazy. But yesterday, I was going through my watch list and saw a couple Tokka Betrothal pics that were for Tokka week. I got inspired and drew this. I was surprised with how much I liked how Toph turned out, so I colored it. Took quite a while, but I'm really pleased with it over all. Sokka's not the best...but oh well.

Yes, apparently I got noted about participating in Tokka week...but somehow I missed it or something...because I was browsing my notes and...there it was, asking me to participate or spread the joy. And I feel awful because I failed at both. I'm sorry You generously invited me and I failed you and the Tokka fandom. I hope everyone can forgive me. I'll try to participate in Tokka week if I can. I do loves me some Tokka (and we all know it happens sometime after the finale, amirite?) I dunno if I'll be on the list or not. Either way's fine for me. That list's probably for commited dependable people who can be counted on to post work everyday >__>;;

But at any rate, now that I've ranted; this picture. Near as I can tell, this is some party in the Earth Kingdom in the future. Toph's outside on the balcony, enjoying being away from high society and all that. She's there for political purposes. She hates things like that, but it's a favor to Aang maybe? I dunno. It's a loosely constructed backstory. She and Sokka have been together a while of course, and it looks like he's gonna pop the question and he figured on the balcony would be a good place, since she was out there already. But now he's about to go out there and has no idea what to do. And what is with Toph's smile. Is she enjoying the night air, or does she already know he's there and fidgeting like crazy? You decide XD

The design for Toph was kinda spur of the moment. I was surprised I randomly came up with that hair. Usually I fail at thinking up original hairstyles for her >__>;; And her dress is sorta reminiscent of her dress in City of Walls and Secrets. Really original, I know. Sokka's dressed in Earth Kingdom style, though I figure maybe he's have a Hakoda goatee and some hair tie things... Eeeeh I dunno...

Maaan it's been toooo long since I did Tokka. Feeeeels good!
