Woo! Finially finished up my entry for the latest Tokka contest! This is what has kept me from posting anything in the past few days. This has taken quite a while to finish. Anyhow the club's here: Pay a visit, join if you like. Enter the contest if you can ^__^ The theme is confession. Had to be of Sokka and/or Toph either preparing to confess or actually confessing. I had several ideas, but I really like this one.

Basically, I figured that I'd have their pondering over just how to tell the other, then coming up with, what they thought would be a good way to go about it, then show the two of them, both trying to tell the other, but all their well-planned dialogue crashing and burning in a sea of akwardness. Now I shall go in depth into each scenario:

Toph: So first, we have Toph sitting, pondering with her tongue slightly out because...I thought it would look thoughtful? As for her vision, I know what you're thinking, Toph would never imagine in pink. Aaaah probably true, but as was evidenced in Tales of Ba Sing Se, even Toph likes girly stuff sometimes. So there is my excuse... Drawing Sokka and Toph in their dream forms is something that I find highly amusing. I've come to call them "Bishoujo Sokka and Toph." Seeing as how fun this was, they might just have some more adventures in the future X3 ) As for that last panel with Toph, I love love looooove how it looks! It turned out far better than I expected. I just wanted to resketch that one, and I drew that and with the color, it just turned out wonderfully in my opinion.

Sokka: He's sitting in a field, thinking to himself. And in hiiiis imagining...he's sportin' some bug guns. Because you KNOW Sokka would. He also imagines himself with many many sparkles XD And Toph...That pose amuses me so. And the third panel, I really like as well.

And as for the last panel, Toph's twidling her thumbs, trying to not look akward and failing to the max. Sokka's rubbing his head, also quite at a loss. They both started talking at the same time. I figured I'd cut until after they said they had something to tell the other. It seemed right to me. So now they're saying everything in unison, which only serves to make the situation more akward XD As for what happens after this...I dunno, haven't thought much about it. They get together one way or another X3

I really love how everything turned out here. The trees are okay. I still need a lot of work on them. Like how the grass and hills turned out.
