Hello there everyone!

This is a quick journal entry. I'll hopefully have time to do a longer one later. That'd be awesome. Yeah.

I was one of those who didn't even try to resist watching The Headband on TurboNick. I saw that, stopped for a second, and then went on ahead. Go ahead, scold me. I'm a bad fan >__< But ooooh heavens was that episode lovely. I have proclaimed it, for myself at least, the sexiest episode yet. Aaaaah you have no idea how much I loved all that Kataang. And Sokka? HILARIOUS I thought the Maiko, despite what many people having saying about, was fun and seemed to fit, in my opinion. The episode was great all around. Funny, full of ships I support (thank you o' Mike and Brian), dance-tastic, etc.

It was funny to see Aang in school. Hahah they had to put an overprotective jock boyfriend in. It's like a law for anything that happens in a school in a show, no matter where or when it takes place. You just CAN'T break from that. I don't mind. It was funny to see that punk get Aang'd. Hahah and now I want to go around and call everyone 'hotman.'

The dancing was a beautiful thing. That free-style dancing guy is the foaming mouth guy for the third season. I tell you, when Ozai's defeated, we'll see this town again, and he'll be dancing. Like a Return of the Jedi ending thing. It'll be awesome.

On ji was a cool character. At first my overprotective Kataang-y sensors went off, but I let it go, since I had high doubts that anything would really happen. She danced with Aang, but that was immediately remedied by Katara's irritated jealousy X3

And Aang and Katara's dance? O____O I swear I want to draw so many things about it, but I don't know if I can even put on paper what that did to me. The blushing, just how perfectly synched they were. Oh it was beautiful ^____^ Hopefully I'll be able to put up a deviation of it soon... And then the kiss at the end. Okay, I can see where people come from if she just kisses him after he just saved the water tribe or is going to see the Guru, and they say it's just "motherly affection," (an argument which has just gone down the proverbial drain) but she's kissing him with increasingly greater frequency. I don't know any people who are "just friends," who act like that. Oh no, this is becoming regular my friends. And it is so lovely. I can't wait for more.

As for Zuko, he's flippin' out like mad. Yes, I'm very unhappy with him for yelling at Iroh and making him cry. I don't think anyone's really NOT mad. He'll inevitably straighten up his act, but he needs some major comeuppance.

Oh and the Combustion Man? Full-Metal Alchemist anyone? :XD:

Now, as for Shipping. I've been looking at reactions on both sides of the shipping spectrum, in regards to The Headband. Kataangers like myself are dancing around crazy-like. As for Zutarians, reactions are mixed, from what I've seen. Some enjoyed it anyway, others didn't. For me, it's Avatar and the ships are part of it, not the other way around...so there you go. I enjoy Avatar.

Anyway, back to Zutarians. The things I'm about to say in NO WAY apply to all Zutarians. These are just a few cases I've seen around that surprised and confounded me. It's a few people who are still convinced that Zutara will happen. Nothing wrong with that. I say anything's possible. I fear bad shipping karma. But the arguments for why what's happening between Aang and Katara and Zuko and Mai is going to end, are becoming increasingly farfetched, in my opinion.

Take one postulation I heard, for example. One person excused Katara getting jealous as just wanting her "blush slave," back. This may have been meant in jest. I'm not sure. I certainly mean no offense by pointing this out. I just think that's really putting Katara in a bad light. y personal opinion. Also someone said that Katara and Zuko are both lonely and are essentially USING Aang and Mai as emotional crutches until later when Katara and Zuko come together and true love steam babies fire lady, you get the drill. Then I thought, 'Wait...what??' Katara's just USING Aang? Zuko's just USING Mai? If they were just using Aang and Mai, is that really the type of person you'd want as a hero in a tv show? That wouldn't even be Zuko or Katara anymore. They'd be like an emotionally unbalanced Azula. Can you imagine how that would look at the end?

Katara: Lol Thanx for being there for me Aang! But I'm done with you now that my fiery prince is here! *Fawns all over Zuko*
Zuko: Yeah Mai, no hard feelings right?lolz *Make out with Katara*

No matter how you look at it, if you really think they're using Aang and Mai, whether consciously or not, that is an absolutely cruel thing to do. It would be cruel and depressing to watch. I really think everyone's come to far for Zutara to be logically possible anymore...that's just what I think. Honestly, how could Katara argue getting together with Zuko? "Yeah Aang, I know we've had some good times and all and you've always been there for me and everything. But I figured out that my true love is Zuko. You know, the guy that chased us around the world, betrayed us and helped KILL you, then sent an assassin after us? Yeah, turns out I love him. Sorry pal!"

That's absolutely preposterous! I'm not trying to flame Zutara, but the logic is becoming increasingly faulty as time goes on! Zuko may come around in the end, but to end up with Katara after all he's done...it's like belittling everything Aang's tried to do for the world. He's always trying to help people, save the world, constantly having to put aside his own desires for a destiny he never asked for. Not that Zuko hasn't done good, but he's done so much bad. The moral of Avatar would be "Nice guys finish last. Sorry kids." I just...I just don't want to see that happen. I don't think it would fit with the feel of Avatar... I don't know, that's just how I feel. There's nothing wrong with shipping Zutara...but I'm just trying to be logical here. Don't I have some foundation in what I say?

Bah...flame me if you want. I hope that if I was a Zutarian, I'd still be able to think logically...or maybe this argument's biased, I dunno. It's the way I feel.

I agree about the whole Zutara case... I really don't see why it's being supported. :/

I mean, they kinda don't like eachother anymore.... ever since Azula killed Aang, Katara isn't too fond of Zuko, and for betraying them.

xD.

personally, im a zutarian, abut im not COMPLETELY fangirl obsessed with it. I'm too logical for that =]

But im more of a Taang fan than a Kataang fan. Kataang is cute, but Kataras way too old for Aang. Tophs the same age as him =]

AND THEY'RE OPPOSITE ELEMENTS!

but even if im not a Kataang or a Maiko fan, i thought those scenes were cute.

But one of the guys dancing, the larger guy, DOES THE SPRINKLER! OMFG THAT WAS COOL!!!

There are no words, besides: I love you bear my children.

Everyone IS too far come for Zutara to happen and have it still be plausible. Like you said, there's no good excuse anymore. And I get the feeling after the season finale, Katara would rather kick Zuko's ass than make out with him.

I have no problem with Zutarians who acknowledge that their ship is fanon, but the ones who run around preaching about it and screaming at anyone who calls them wrong are just asking for it.

Avatar is from Riza-Cifra. n_n

I'm Katara/Aang in the deviantART Couples Crew!
Now, what I think people need to remember, is that this was meant for 6-11 year olds, that's the age group they were aiming for for the show. My four, cross that, five year old sister watches this and giggles over all the Kataang, it's cute how she absolutly loves it, and gets upset when they argue. Now...DO YOU WANT TO TICK OFF A FIVE YEAR OLD?? Kids in this age group, well, they go for the obvious, and if Avatar turns into this soap opra, do you REALLY think that they'd be interested anymore? I think not

95% of the teenage population would cry if they saw the jonas brothers or miley cyrus on the top of the empire state building. Copy and paste this if you would be the 5% screaming "jump, bitches, jump!!
:clap::clap::clap:

I applaud you. I heard stuff like that about katara and zuko. Sure zuko is seriously crazed right now, but he actually looks happy to be with mai. No matter how corny their emo love is ^^

I was honestly fliping in my chair when i saw aang and katara dancing. As soon as i saw it i started to draw a picture of them. teehee:D It's almost done i jus need to shade it and add a nice bakcground. But the looks they gave each other was like,

Aang: *gives an "i want you so bad" look*
Katara: *give an "iwant you so bad too" look*

*squee*

You make sense with that last part. It's something that I've believed....

Kataang Reason #32: Because it actually helps to TRY and get someone to love you back.
Reason #41: Because hard work should pay off.

Stuff like that.

Your episode analysis? AGREE FULLY. Except the Mai and Zuko thing....it took me some time to recover from that....but your comments about being initially defensive against On Ji, and the overprotective jock boyfriend....yes, exactly! And the dance....I mean, OMG!!! I NEVER thought that I would like an episode more for the Kataang than the Maizu, but.....

Yes, the logic is becoming increasingly faulty.

But I couldn't help feeling sorry for them afterwards. Zutarians, I mean....it was NOT a pleasant episode....there was no warning that this specific episode would contain the Maikout, nor that there would be Kataang....but....it was all there. And the dialogue had to hurt, too....

But Katara and Aang proved several things:

1. It is not unrequited feelings between them.
2. Aang has confidence with her--it's not a crush anymore.
3. Katara and Aang can work together, and synchronize and pair up. Perfectly.
4. They can make each other sweat while still grinning.
5. They rule.

And Sokka approves! YAY!!!

That one guy is definitely related to Foamy.....

It's great to see your review! I was wondering.....:D

"Put an apple on your head, and we'll find out how good I am!"

When Toph punches Aang, it's called chemistry; when Mai teases Zuko, it's called insensitivity.
ah~ That episode was purely my favourite! :aww:

The dance scene was *amazing* and I had just about DIED. Especially when she kissed him at the end omg...

I think that whole arguement about how Katara's just a 'mother figure' to Aang has finally died... A-as well as Zutara, xD Maiko GALLORE!

all in all... :faint:

I understand where your coming from. And I have nothing to come at you on. (Still a Zutara shipper! I have my reasons and I'm sticking to them!)

However I want to make a comment about what you said with "Combustion Man."...The Full Metal Alchemist thing did not hit me until now. And now I have some weird scenes playing out in my head because of that!

When Chuck Norris goes to bed, he checks under the bed for Toph.

"I wanna marry the toilet bowl"
I support zutara, in all cases. I don't know why, but the thought of aang and katara...they just seem to different. But I think Zuko will dump mai, or she will die. (either way, she still leaves zuko.0-0)
ANYWAYS...
I loved this episode. It cracked me up, and TOPH. Oh man, the shoe thing was hilarious. XD
